Exactly what to add to your pool, and how much.

Type in your water test. Bluvo works out which chemical to add, how much of it, in what order and how long to wait, using the bottles already on your shelf. For pools and hot tubs.

Treatment plans are free. No account. Nothing to buy from us.

Bluvo treatment plan: add 96.9 fl oz of liquid chlorine, wait 30 minutes, then add 7.9 fl oz of muriatic acid

From a water test to a plan in under two minutes

No charts to read and no math. Bluvo knows your pool’s volume, its surface and how you sanitize, and does the rest.

  1. Test your water

Use the kit you have: drops, strips or a digital reader. Free chlorine, pH and alkalinity matter most; calcium, stabilizer and salt when you have them.

  2. Enter the numbers

Steppers and big digits, filled in from your last test. Each reading gets a clear Low, OK or High.

  3. Follow the plan

Step by step: chlorine first when it is dangerously low, acid and chlorine 30 minutes apart, timers for every wait, and pH dosed at 75% with a retest so you never overshoot. Then it tells you when it is safe to swim.

Uses what is already on your shelf

Tell Bluvo which chemicals you have and the strength on the label. The plan doses with those, and warns you about side effects, like cal-hypo adding calcium or trichlor adding stabilizer. Any brand works.

When the water turns green or cloudy

Plain guides for the problems every owner meets: green water, cloudy water, chlorine smell, burning eyes and hot tub foam. The SLAM guide gives you your own shock level from your last test.

Fix a problem screen: the SLAM method with your shock level of 16 ppm, and guides for cloudy water, green pool, chlorine smell, burning eyes and hot tub foam

See how your water changes

Every test and every chemical you added, in one list. Charts for each reading show whether pH keeps creeping up or chlorine keeps dropping, so you can fix the cause, not just the number.

For the water you have

Chlorine pools

Liquid chlorine, bleach, cal-hypo, dichlor or trichlor. Plaster, vinyl or fiberglass.

Saltwater pools

Salt cell targets, salt top-ups and a reminder to adjust cell output.

Hot tubs

Chlorine or bromine, smaller volumes, foam help and “jets on” instead of “pump on”.

Numbers you can check

Bluvo follows TroubleFreePool’s published method, the one pool owners have trusted for years. Every target and every formula is written down, so you can see why the plan says what it says.

See the target levels

  • Your free chlorine target comes from the chlorine and stabilizer (CYA) chart, so it moves when CYA moves.
  • Doses are worked out from your volume and the strength on your label.
  • pH is dosed at 75% and retested. pH moves more than people expect.
  • The order is fixed for safety: acid and chlorine are always 30 minutes apart.

The plan is always free

Pay only if you want to keep a full log of your water or care for more than one pool.

Questions

Is Bluvo free?

Yes. Entering a test and getting a full treatment plan is free, with no limit and no time limit. So are the volume calculator, the wait timers and the Fix a problem guides. The free version keeps your last 5 tests for one pool or hot tub.

Bluvo Pro adds unlimited history with charts, test reminders, more pools and hot tubs, your own target ranges and CSV export. It costs $29.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, $3.99 a month, or $59.99 once. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows the price in your currency.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your pools, tests and chemicals are stored only on your iPhone.

Which test kits work with Bluvo?

Any kit that gives you numbers: drop-based kits (FAS-DPD for chlorine is the most accurate), test strips or a digital reader. Enter what you measured; you can leave optional readings like calcium or combined chlorine empty.

Does it work for salt pools, hot tubs and bromine?

Yes. Bluvo handles chlorine pools, saltwater pools with a salt cell, chlorine hot tubs and bromine hot tubs, and plaster, vinyl or fiberglass surfaces. Each one gets its own targets.

Gallons or liters?

Both. Bluvo picks US or metric units from your region and you can switch any time in Settings. Doses are shown in fl oz, gallons, lb and oz, or in ml, liters, kg and grams.

Where do the target levels come from?

From TroubleFreePool’s published method. Your free chlorine target follows their chart for your stabilizer (CYA) level, so a pool with more stabilizer needs more chlorine. See all target levels.

Does Bluvo sell chemicals or push a brand?

No. Bluvo works with the generic chemicals you already have, from household bleach to muriatic acid and baking soda, and you set the strength from the label. Nothing in the app is sponsored.

Is Bluvo on Android or iPad?

Bluvo is for iPhone. It runs on iPad in iPhone mode. An Android version is not available yet.

How do I cancel Bluvo Pro?

On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Bluvo and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. More on subscriptions.
