Who we are

Bluvo: Pool & Spa Chemistry (“Bluvo”, “we”) is an iPhone app made by Narek Sumbatyan, an independent developer. For any privacy question write to bluvo.support@gmail.com.

Data that stays on your iPhone

Everything you enter is stored only on your device: your pools and hot tubs (name, volume, dimensions, surface, sanitizer), your water tests, the chemicals you added and their strengths, your target ranges and your settings. We have no server for this data and cannot see it.

• Deleting Bluvo deletes this data from your iPhone.
• It is not synced between devices. It may be included in your iPhone’s own backups (iCloud or computer), under your Apple account settings.
• If you export a CSV file, you choose where it goes; we never receive it.

Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which parts of the app help people and where they get stuck, Bluvo sends anonymous events to Mixpanel, stored on Mixpanel’s servers in the European Union. Examples: onboarding finished, a plan was opened or marked done, a guide was opened, the paywall was shown, a setting was changed.

An event can include the kind of water (pool or hot tub), the sanitizer, the surface, the units you use, how many steps a plan had, which chemical type was added, and for the paywall the plan chosen, the App Store country and currency. Mixpanel also records general technical details such as device model, iOS version, app version and language, and uses the connection’s IP address to estimate country and city without storing the IP address.

Events are tied to a random identifier created by the app, not to your name, email, Apple ID or advertising identifier. We never send your test numbers, your pool names or anything else you type.

Crash reports

When the app crashes or hits an error, Bluvo sends a report to Sentry, stored in the European Union. A report contains the technical error, the app version, device model and iOS version. Storing IP addresses is turned off, and reports contain no screenshots, no personal information and no test results.

Purchases

Bluvo Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your name, email or card details. To confirm that Pro is active on your device and to restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives the purchase information from Apple (product, dates, price, currency, country) together with an anonymous app user ID. Notifications

Test reminders and wait timers are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. They do not go through any server, and you can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.

What we don’t do

• No accounts, logins or email collection inside the app.
• No ads and no advertising identifiers.
• No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
• No selling or renting of data to anyone.
• No location access, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Service providers

Each provider processes data only to provide its service to us. Statistics and crash reports are kept only as long as they are useful for improving the app, then deleted under the provider’s retention settings.

This website

bluvo.pages.dev uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Children

Bluvo is a tool for adults who care for pools and hot tubs and is not directed at children under 13. Pool chemicals should be handled by adults.

Your choices and rights

Because the statistics and crash reports are anonymous, we usually cannot link them to you. You can still ask us anything about your data, or ask us to delete data linked to your device’s anonymous ID, by writing to bluvo.support@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you have rights to access, delete or object to the processing of personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority. We will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s update notes.
